The Warwick Family Based Program is a child centered, family focused approach to therapy designed to help children and strengthen family structure. The primary goal of treatment is to prevent “out of home” placement of the children and keep families intact. Our strength based, team approach allows specially trained professionals to partner with the family, allowing untapped knowledge, motivation and skills within the family to be utilized for the resolution of issues that have created the unwelcome stress in their lives. This approach is unique, in that two highly skilled therapists/social workers, who have undergone special training in family systems therapy, team up to focus on the needs of a specific child and family. The team provides therapy services including individual, co-parenting and family therapy. They also provide intensive case management services. The intensive case management component typically results in better coordination and improved access to the array of services available for support from Children and Youth, Education, Juvenile Probation, Mental Health and /or from informal supports such as church and recreation.

      Family support funding may also be available in appropriate circumstances to achieve the therapeutic goals of treatment.

      Services are provided in the home and community, as necessary, on a twenty-four hour, seven-day per week basis. The length of Family Based Treatment is typically 32 weeks.

      Coverage for Services…The Warwick Family Based Program is a contracted provider with Magellan Behavioral Health for the Pennsylvania Medical Assistance Managed Care Program. Our program is available to residents of Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

      Before services can be initiated, they must be prior authorized by Magellan. Services will be approved if the client/family meet coverage guidelines established by PA Medical Assistance and by Magellan.
