Annmarie Lynch is a well-respected, experienced child, family, group and play therapist who has developed a unique, comprehensive program designed to meet the needs of children ages 5 to 18 years of age who present with a variety of mental health diagnoses. The program typically treats children with a variety of issues including those related to abuse & neglect, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional-defiant disorder, bi-polar disorder, depression and childhood autism.

Annmarie has particular expertise related to the treatment of clients who are victims of physical and sexual abuse and has a special interest in the legal issues related to Child Abuse and mental health treatment of minors. She received extensive training in Play Therapy through Farleigh Dickinson University and The Family and Play Therapy Institute. The program’s philosophy was formulated on the premise that effective treatment of the child requires effective treatment of the family, including all systems involved in the child’s life. Holding strongly to her belief that past experiences and behaviors do not have to dictate one’s future actions, this program utilizes art therapy, play therapy, self-esteem building and other holistic approaches as components of the treatment plan designed to achieve the desired therapeutic outcomes.

Annmarie has assembled a staff of compassionate, caring, and skilled therapists committed to continuous improvement and life-long learning. Our staff receives ongoing supervision to assure quality and professional competence. Once admitted to the program, our clients are compliant with therapy as most patient discharges result from the attainment of the therapeutic goals of treatment.

In addition, Annmarie serves as a consultant and an evaluator for our wraparound program for children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Ms Lynch is presently enrolled in the CCP Sign Language Interpreter Program and has a broad range of experiences in serving this community. She has been closely involved in the formulation of this specialized program and provides continuing education programs on related topics to our staff.
