Funding Sources
In Pennsylvania, services are either funded directly by the PA Medical Assistance fee for service program or through a Medical Assistance Managed Care Organization. These include Magellan Behavioral Health (MBH), Community Behavioral Health (CBH), Community Care Behavioral Health (CCBH) and their affiliated counties. The Warwick House is a contracted provider with these entities.
In addition, services may be covered by certain commercial insurers on a case-by-case basis.
All services require prior authorization based on coverage guidelines for treatment established by PA Medical Assistance and/or those guidelines established by the managed care organization.
It is important to note that children and families who are authorized for treatment by either Medical Assistance or a Medical Assistance Managed Care Organization are not required to pay “out of pocket” for most treatment expenses.
However, in those circumstances when private (commercial) insurance is accessed for coverage, services may be subject to policy specific deductible and co-payment requirements.

The Warwick Family Based Program is a contracted provider with Magellan Behavioral Health for the Pennsylvania Medical Assistance Managed Care Program. Our program is available to residents of Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Before services can be initiated, they must be prior authorized by Magellan. Services will be approved if the client/family meet coverage guidelines established by PA Medical Assistance and by Magellan. In Pennsylvania, the provision of services may be covered and reimbursable either directly through the Department of Public Welfare (Medical Assistance) or through a contract with a behavioral health managed care organization. Prior to the initiation of services, pre-approval/prior authorization must be granted, which occurs on a case-by-case basis, subject to the client meeting established coverage guidelines. In Pennsylvania, children who meet these coverage guidelines are eligible to receive services without regard for family income.
Currently, our program is licensed to provide our specialized wraparound services directly through the department of Public Welfare (Medical Assistance) and through a contracted provider relationship with Community Behavioral Health (CBH). The MCC Outpatient clinic is contracted to provide services to Medical Assistance recipients in Bucks and Philadelphia counties. Services may be funded directly by the PA Medical Assistance fee for service program or through a Medical Assistance Managed Care Organization. These include Magellan Behavioral Health (MBH) and Community Behavioral Health (CBH).
